I was charged for a gallon of gas when I had just filled it up. The clerk was adamant it wasn’t full. The nightly drop off box didn’t work, and the smirky clerk said the next day everything was working fine.

Made a reservation and when we arrived to the hertz rental place which was 20mins from the airport (which we ubered to) they didn’t have a vehicle for us. The lady at the front desk said she tried calling us but never left a voicemail. I missed the call because i was just landing from my flight. I tired calling serval times but no know ever answered. The staff member was very unapologetic about the situation and didn’t offer any help, knowing we were tourist and weren’t familiar with the area. We eventually ubered to another rental place, Avis/ Budget 10mins down the road, where they were very accommodating evening without a reservation.

They were able to get us into something that was available. They were not very nice and had bad attitudes and did not care about our situation to put us into something that met our needs.

The location was close to me and off airport which saves money.

The staff seemed overworked and uninterested in helping their clients. The car wasn't cleaned and was well used. The service due light came on the next day, after trying to call the emergency number for 2 days Hertz wanted us to take it for service during our vacation. The car shook so badly at 65mph the fenders were rattling, we stopped at a dealer to put screws back in (that were missing when we picked it up). When we returned the vehicle we explained all the issues and asked for a discount, which the return agent ignored and just processed our return. We won't be using Hertz again.
